William Charles Construction and Ragnar Benson joined forces in December to participate in the 13th Annual Transporation Symposium sponsored by Metra, the CTA, RTA, and IDOT. The symposium is a great opportunity for participating companies to learn about the procurement and contracting processes of the transit industry of northeastern Illinois.

The WC Construction/Ragnar Benson networking tables gave us the opportunity to meet with woman and minority-owned businesses and to introduce our capabilities to the transportation planner of northeast Illinois.  As we look at projects coming up, rail is taking an ever-more prominent place in transportation planning and funding. It is important that we are at these relationship building meetings to get our names out to the transportation authorities and to meet the qualified subs with whom we could partner.
