Project Overview

Ragnar Benson performed a build-out on two floors of the Ward Building for the university's medical school. This project included installation of exhaust risers, air-handling units (AHUs), and heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) units. Since the project was located in the heart of downtown Chicago, in the midst of Northwestern University's downtown campus, it required careful attention to public safety and coordination. RB used helicopters for all exterior building work including setting of structural steel, HVAC units, and construction of a pump house at roof level.
