Project Overview
The project involved demolition and remodeling of the third floor of the Searle building, including removal of all existing laboratory casework, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems. The new space, a fully functional research laboratory, contains new mechanical, plumbing, electrical, automatic sprinkler, laboratory air/gas/vacuum, and control systems. The project required an extremely complex mechanical renovation of the ninth floor, new ductwork control valves on floors two to 15, and a new 22,000 lb.lab exhaust fan for the roof, which will service the entire building.
